WoW Forever companion pet
Tranquil Mechanical Yeti
Tranquil Mechanical Yeti is a high-level Vanilla Classic Engineering companion learned directly from Umi Rumplesnicker after completing her Winterspring yeti quest line. Engineers need level 55 and Engineering 250 to receive A Yeti of Your Own and learn the craft.

How to get Tranquil Mechanical Yeti
Complete Umi Rumplesnicker's Are We There, Yeti? quest line in Winterspring. Once you are level 55 with Engineering 250, return to Umi in Everlook for A Yeti of Your Own. The quest teaches Tranquil Mechanical Yeti directly; there is no Vanilla schematic to farm. Craft it with 1 Cured Rugged Hide, 4 Thorium Widgets, 2 Globes of Water, 2 Truesilver Transformers, and 1 Gold Power Core. The finished yeti binds when used, so non-engineers can buy one from another player or the Auction House.
Complete Umi's yeti quest line
The recipe is locked behind Umi Rumplesnicker's Winterspring quests. The chain begins with Are We There, Yeti? and ultimately includes the version where Umi sends you to scare Legacki, Sprinkle, and Quixxil with her mechanical yeti.
Finishing the quest line is the prerequisite that unlocks the companion recipe for qualified engineers.
Return at level 55 with Engineering 250
After the prerequisite quests, Umi offers A Yeti of Your Own once you are at least level 55 and have Engineering 250.
The quest teaches the Tranquil Mechanical Yeti craft directly. Classic references are explicit that this is not a dropped schematic.
Craft the Tranquil Mechanical Yeti
The finished craft uses one Cured Rugged Hide, four Thorium Widgets, two Globes of Water, two Truesilver Transformers, and one Gold Power Core.
Some of those engineering components require more than 250 skill to make personally, so an engineer at exactly 250 may need to buy components from other players.
Non-engineers can still collect it
Tranquil Mechanical Yeti binds when used rather than when crafted.
Another engineer can make one for you, and unopened yetis can be traded or listed on the Auction House.
Do not look for the modern schematic
Modern World of Warcraft later replaced the removed quest recipe with Schematic: Tranquil Mechanical Yeti from a vendor.
That schematic is not the Vanilla Classic acquisition route. For this guide, the correct source is A Yeti of Your Own.
The Pet Journal describes the toy as having a hidden switch that could disable its calm behavior, though even its engineers cannot find it.
