About Fizzik Brasswhistle

Fizzik began by repairing training dummies and pocket-sized clockworks, then became fascinated by machines built for companionship rather than labor.

He records materials, mechanisms, noises, quirks, and what he calls behavioral tolerances, which usually means how long a device can be ignored before it starts squeaking.

To Fizzik, a mechanical pet is never merely a schematic. If it develops a habit, makes an odd sound, or follows its owner faithfully, it has earned a place in the field guide.

“A spring can be temperamental, a gear can be stubborn, and anyone who says machines have no personality has never built one properly.”
