How to get Spectral Bear Cub
Earn 25 total Legacy Points on your account to unlock the Spectral Bear Cub on the Legacy Reward Track. The reward track follows total Legacy Points earned, separate from the points each character spends in the Legacy perk trees. After the reward unlocks, visit Innkeeper Wiley in Ratchet to claim the Spectral Bear Cub item and learn the companion.
How the Legacy reward works
Legacy Points come from account-wide Legacy Challenges covering classes, tradeskills, PvP, exploration, dungeons, and raids. Blizzard lists 65 Legacy Challenges at launch, with each completed challenge awarding one Legacy Point.
Each character can spend only a limited number of Legacy Points in the perk trees at launch, but the reward track continues to count the total points your account has earned. That means the Spectral Bear Cub unlock is tied to reaching 25 total Legacy Points, not to keeping 25 points unspent.
Why the Spectral Bear Cub is a Legacy reward
Blizzard describes the cub as a pet exclusive to the Legacy System and says its design was inspired by the dwarven hunter and companion shown in the WoW Forever cinematic. It is the second reward on the launch Legacy track, following the Replica Ironforge Air Rifle.
