Find an Excitable Slime patrolling the water and use /dance at it repeatedly until it dances back and offers WRIGGLE. Buy the sludge before entering the canals
Start with Boyle in Undercity at about 56.2, 64.6 and buy one Nutritious Slime Sludge. You need the sludge to finish the interaction once a slime agrees to follow your lead.
With the sludge in your bags, head down into the Undercity canals and look for an Excitable Slime patrolling through the water.
Dance until the slime responds
Target an Excitable Slime and use /dance. One attempt may not be enough. Keep dancing at the same slime until it emotes back and offers the quest WRIGGLE.
The quest asks for the Nutritious Slime Sludge you bought from Boyle. Turn it in to receive the Excitable Slime companion.
The companion keeps the interaction
The pet preserves the joke after you learn it. Use /dance near your summoned Excitable Slime and it will dance back.
