How to get Brown Snake
Horde players can purchase Brown Snake from Xan'tish, the Snake Vendor in Orgrimmar, for a base price of 50 silver before reputation discounts. Xan'tish patrols the road between Orgrimmar's front gate and the Valley of Spirits. Brown Snake binds when used, so Alliance collectors can obtain one through the Neutral Auction House or another cross-faction trade.

Xan'tish walks between Orgrimmar's front gate and the Valley of Spirits rather than standing at a permanent shop.
Brown Snake has unlimited vendor stock, so once you locate Xan'tish there is no restock timer to wait through.
Brown Snake is part of a three-pet vendor set
Xan'tish sells Brown Snake alongside Black Kingsnake and Crimson Snake. Each costs the same base vendor price in Vanilla Classic.
Collectors can therefore complete the entire original Orgrimmar snake trio during a single visit.
Ignore later-version vendor information
Later expansions added other ways to obtain some classic snake pets, including Dalaran vendors and other systems. Those are not Vanilla Classic acquisition sources.
