How to get Black Kingsnake

Horde players can purchase Black Kingsnake from Xan'tish, the Snake Vendor in Orgrimmar, for a base price of 50 silver before reputation discounts. Xan'tish patrols the road between Orgrimmar's front gate and the Valley of Spirits. Black Kingsnake binds when used, so Alliance collectors can obtain an unopened pet through the Neutral Auction House or another cross-faction trade.

Find the wandering Snake Vendor

Xan'tish does not remain at a fixed stall. Historical Classic comments describe him walking the road between Orgrimmar's front gate and the Valley of Spirits.

Once you find him, open his vendor inventory and purchase Black Kingsnake. His snake stock is unlimited.

Buy all three Orgrimmar snakes in one visit

Xan'tish sells Black Kingsnake, Brown Snake, and Crimson Snake in Vanilla Classic. All three share the same basic vendor acquisition path.

If you are completing the snake collection, there is no reason to make three separate trips unless gold is the limiting factor.

Alliance collectors need a traded snake

Xan'tish is a Horde Orgrimmar vendor. Alliance characters cannot make the normal direct purchase.

Black Kingsnake binds when used, allowing Horde players to move unopened snakes through the Neutral Auction House or another cross-faction trade.

Xan'tish fearlessly tracks, captures, and trains these noble snakes so they will aid their comrades in battle.
